Hospices launch The Big Get Together

Categories: Community Engagement.

Events can include family barbecues, canape and cocktail evenings, coffee mornings with friends, pamper parties, dinner parties or even themed events like Halloween parties.

St Barnabas House kick-started this year’s campaign with a vintage-themed afternoon of swing dancing on Brighton’s Palace Pier. Guests took part in dancing lessons accompanied by live music, followed by a vintage afternoon tea.

Jenny Murrell, Community Fundraising Officer from St Barnabas House said:

“The Big Get Together is all about having fun with friends and family.  It is a fabulous excuse to let your hair down and spend some time making happy memories with those people who are important to you.”

“Every penny raised will go towards providing free hospice care to people from across the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas and supporting their loved ones at some of the toughest times in their lives.”

Once registered participants receive free fundraising packs with a money box for donations, templates for invitations, balloons, posters and bunting.
