LEGACY & IN MEMORY FUNDRAISER
Salary: Band 6 £31,562 – £41,630 per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
We are excited to be recruiting this new fundraising role within our growing fundraising and engagement team.
Gifts in wills provide almost a third of our annual income and in memory giving is an important income stream for the hospice. This role has been created to ensure that we are able to maintain and grow these essential sources of income and offer a one-to-one, personalised level of supporter care.
Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, you will be responsible for developing and implementing these programmes. This will include the production of promotional materials, marketing plans and building relationships across the hospice with key staff. You’ll also need to build strong links with funeral directors and solicitors and most importantly, be able to support individuals and families fundraising with the hospice. You will need to be comfortable communicating with distressed relatives over the phone or face-to-face.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in work experience. You must have experience of developing either legacy or in memory giving programmes and have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
If you are a self-motivated, driven and enthusiastic team player who wants to join a dynamic Fundraising Team and shape a legacy and in memory giving programme, this is a great opportunity.
