St Cuthbert’s Hospice opened its doors in September 1988, situated on the outskirts of Durham in beautiful and peaceful grounds providing a therapeutic setting for patients and visitors alike. Our 11 bedded palliative care In Patient Unit provides individualised care planned to support the total well being of each person, taking into account their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. It provides holistic care for patients with life limiting illness. St Cuthbert’s Hospice is a well established and greatly appreciated part of the community with a workforce comprising on average of 70 staff and over 360 volunteers. The successful applicant will be required to contribute in the continuing development of services and ensure that the planning, delivery and quality of care is within a safe and effective environment.

You will have post registration experience in palliative care and evidence of professional and personal development. You will posses a palliative care specialist qualification and evidence of clinical skills training or willing to work towards these.
