Hospice UK has an exciting opportunity to help shape our policy and advocacy activities, and drive our vision for the future of hospice care in Scotland.
The new role of Policy and Advocacy Manager Scotland will develop policy positions, identify routes to positive change, influence decision makers, and build partnerships in the interests of people at the end of life and their families and carers, alongside our member hospices.
With the post-holder joining Hospice UK at a time of significant development this is a great role in which to help us shape our vision and play a leading role in the strategic direction of hospice care in Scotland.
The role will be based at St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh, with support from the Hospice UK team in London, and regular visits from colleagues.
About you
We are seeking a confident self-starter who is able to manage the complexity of establishing a new policy presence and making opportunities to achieve our policy and advocacy ambitions. The right candidate will be a self-motivated, resilient, creative and experienced policy and advocacy professional.
The closing date is at midday on 2 May 2016.
First interviews will take place on 10 May 2016.
Second interviews will take place on 13 May 2016.
Both interviews will be taking place in Edinburgh, the location is yet to be confirmed.
