Salary: £36,916 – £46,837 inc LW pa (dependent on experience)
The Marie Curie Hospice Hampstead provides free specialist support and care for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. The hospice has two In Patient wards (34 beds) and a large Out Patient Unit, seeing over 1200 patients at the hospice each year. We aim to give patients the best possible quality of life, meeting all their medical, spiritual and social needs, whilst also providing their families with all the emotional support they need.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Social Worker, with management experience to lead our Patient and Family Support Team comprising social work, bereavement support and counselling, chaplaincy, art therapy, children and young persons counselling.
Working with patients and families from the North Central London catchment, you will ideally have worked in a palliative care setting and in the community. You will need to work closely with the local authorities, hospital social work teams and the hospice multidisciplinary team in ensuring effective discharges for patients.
You will be a qualified and highly experienced Social Worker with significant people management skills and experience. Ideally applicants should also have worked previously within a healthcare setting
