Professional/Clinical Supervision Counsellor

Salary: £10,000 per annum
Hours: 15 hours per week over 2 days 

Saint Michael’s is the local charity that exists to help people live with terminal illness and bereavement, One in three local people are affected by the work that we do. 

We are now looking to broaden the support provided to the members of the team who work directly with patients or clients through the introduction of this role.

The role will provide professional supervision/reflective practice to members of the team providing direct patient/client care, including volunteer counsellors and bereavement support volunteers working with Talking Spaces and Just B. Providing a safe, confidential space for listening, off loading and guided reflection to ensure that our staff receive the most appropriate support to enable them to fulfil their roles.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a clinical setting, facilitating and supporting a variety of clients with differing needs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an understanding of end of life care and its impact, as well as general counselling services.

Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach are essential. You must be a trained Supervisor who is able to work with autonomy as well as a flexible attitude.
