Average – 30 hours per week

As an experienced registered nurse educated to degree level, you will have working practice of developing staff in a formal learning environment and clinical setting and will be knowledgeable on the range of education qualifications and associated assessment processes available for people working within healthcare. As part of the clinical management structure, you will have responsibility for professional learning and development activities at St Andrews Hospice, to ensure the workforce is competent, confident and capable. 

You will also be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the quality improvement processes and have responsibility for the development, implementation and reporting of the annual clinical audit programme. With the ability to develop a proactive culture within and across teams to ensure audit and learning and development are embedded in all activity. 

Learning and Development is dynamic, so you will be expected to embrace change and react quickly to situations with confidence, you will be comfortable in front of an audience, flexible in your approach, with a passion for teaching and sharing your expertise with others by assisting and enhancing employees skills whilst facilitating professional development. 

With a relevant teaching qualification, you will also have extensive post registration experience, ideally within a palliative care setting and offer clinical audit knowledge which has been acquired through training and experience.
