About the role:
Hospice UK runs a number of strategic programmes of support for our members, designed to build capacity through increasing the skills, knowledge and understanding of hospice staff and trustees.
The purpose of this role is to lead development and delivery of a new programme of support focusing on Commissioning and Strategic Partnerships. The programme will be developed in consultation with member hospices, colleagues at Hospice UK and relevant external contacts and stakeholders. The programme will include a variety of elements, for example Masterclasses and workshops, written case studies, other published resources (reports, good practice guides, toolkits, etc.), sharing good practice from inside and outside the hospice sector, and facilitation of networks and relationships. Some of these may be delivered as discrete projects, others as ongoing activities. We will expect the programme to evolve over time and be responsive to members’ needs.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a membership organisation or meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders, along with managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent programme planning and project management skills and experience are imperative in this role along with ability to manage budgets, multiple projects and work streams simultaneously. Knowledge of the health and care sectors and commissioning is desirable.
Knowledge and practical experience of some form of strategic partnership between different organisations to achieve shared objectives is essential, along with experience of writing internal and external reports to a publication standard.
The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people and across teams and departments in a highly collaborative manner.
