Scholarships available to attend hospice23 conference ‘Exploring resilience’

Categories: Education.

Founded in 1986, hospice23 runs a number of residential conferences, study days and retreats for all those who work in palliative and end of life care.

The theme for its 2016 annual conference is ‘Exploring resilience’ and invited speakers include Professor Julia Downing and Professor Philip Larkin.

hospice23 is offering four scholarships for the conference; one for UK attendees and three for candidates from other countries.

The scholarships are offered as part of the Prue Dufour foundation grants. Prue Dufour, the founder of hospice23, left a legacy to allow palliative care professionals who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference to take part in the event.

Each scholarship is worth £800. This will cover conference fees, with the remainder given towards travel expenses.

Any palliative care workers are eligible to apply, including volunteers.

Visit the hospice23 website for details as they emerge.
