Share your work and ideas at national hospice care conference

Categories: Education.

The conference’s Ideas Exchange is an informal setting where you can discuss your new ideas, get feedback from your peers and inspire others in their work.

Presenters from previous conferences have told us how they really benefited from the experience:

“The Ideas Exchange (shared learning zone in 2012) was a great opportunity to hear short extracts about innovative and interesting projects occurring across the country within palliative and hospice care. Through presenting at the conference I was able to discuss our project/volunteer opportunity with fellow hospice staff to share knowledge and support for their similar projects. I would recommend all hospices to enter the Ideas Exchange as through sharing best practice we can develop as a hospice movement.”

Another presenter commented:

“A benefit of presenting the Broadening Horizons project, based at LOROS Hospice, was meeting with another project presenter, working in the same field, but with a different approach. Our mutual interest in raising awareness of palliative care in diverse communities has caused us to maintain contact, and led us to further partnership working with another organisation, thus further extending knowledge in specific minority communities.”

You can present your project or project idea in whatever format suits you, whether you want to give a short talk, show a film, or use other media. The Ideas Exchange will be hosted in the exhibition hall during lunch breaks at this year’s conference (21-23 October).

Don’t delay – apply by 6 September on the Help the Hospices website.

Further details about this year’s conference (Hospice Care: Fit for the Future) can be found on the website. With its new interactive master-classes, high-profile plenary speakers and range of parallel sessions, delegates will leave better prepared to face the challenges facing hospice care.

Don’t forget you can also share your innovative projects and ideas on ehospice. Email us if you have an idea for an article.
