Sharing your work on Hospice UK’s national stage

Categories: Care and Education.

Hospice UK’s Information Specialist Melanie Hodson explains the benefits of sharing your work at the charity’s annual conference.

As the flagship event bringing together everyone involved in leading hospice, palliative and end of life care for adults, children and young people, Hospice UK’s conference is an ideal national platform to showcase your work, with the opportunity to display a poster or give an oral presentation.

Our national conference will be returning to Liverpool from 20-22 November 2019 and the Call for Papers is now open. The conference is an excellent way to share and disseminate your work and ideas with benefits for you and your organisation in enabling discussion of your work as well as opportunities to meet and talk with others, to learn and share ideas and experiences.

In 2018 we received more than 390 abstracts in response to the call for papers. This resulted in 24 oral presentations with an exhibition of more than 200 posters as around 900 delegates from hospices, NHS trusts and academia joined us for fresh insights and inspiration for their working practice. The abstracts presented at conference also featured in a special supplement published by the journal, BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care.

Call for Papers

The Call for Papers is open and you have until 10 June to think about work that you might like to present.

We’re keen to receive abstracts from colleagues working in hospice, palliative and end of life care in the voluntary sector, NHS and other sectors and across the full range of roles, including clinicians, educationalists, fundraisers, marketers, managers, social workers, trustees and volunteers.
