St Christopher’s are thrilled to announce that comedian Tom Allen has agreed to become their first ever ambassador!

Tom lives locally to the hospice, and a member of his family was looked after by St Christopher’s a few years ago. He has been to visit the hospice and seen first hand the many different ways that people can lean on St Christopher’s for support.

On his appointment, Tom said,

“I’m absolutely delighted to become an ambassador for St Christopher’s. It’s my privilege to help in any way I can.”

Comedian, writer and actor Tom is a regular feature on TV screens, presenting Bake Off: The Professionals as well as making appearances on Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You?

Tom has already helped fundraise an amazing £45K, by hosting two very successful online quizzes, as well as by making appearances on programmes such as Celebrity Catchphrase and winning prize money for St Christopher’s.

Shaun O’Leary, our Joint Chief Executive said, “We are extraordinarily grateful to have Tom’s support. It means so much. Since Tom first visited us, the positive way that he talks about St Christopher’s and the care that we give, not only helps us fundraise, but also encourages more people to turn to us for support, which is exactly what we want, so thank you Tom.”
