Interim Chief Executive Jan Noble was among four hospice representatives invited to Buckingham Palace. “We were delighted to have an audience with the King and Queen on Wednesday 30 April.”
Interim Chief Executive Jan Noble, Trustee Ian Judson, Health Care Assistant Talitha Robinson and Senior Clinical Administrator Maureen Kennedy-Brooks were part of an audience of around 500 at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday evening.
All four were given the chance to meet both the King and Queen and he spoke of the importance of hospice care.
The reception was organised to recognise and celebrate the remarkable organisations and individuals who do so much for cancer patients and their families.
Ahead of the event, the King said: “It has certainly given me an even deeper appreciation of the extraordinary work undertaken by the remarkable organisations and individuals gathered here this evening, many of whom I have known, visited and supported over the years.”
We were also able to meet with Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Wes Streeting who was at the event and raise the importance of end of life care.
