Local charity St Raphael’s Hospice is launching an exciting new fundraising event called Property Dash, an ultimate real-life game of Monopoly through the streets of Merton this September!
Teams of four to six players will dash through the streets of Merton on an exhilarating property hunt, while raising vital funds for St Raphael’s vital end of life care at the same time.
Property Dash will take place on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September from 12.30pm – 5pm. Teams will enjoy a day of energetic fun by building their property empires by snapping selfies at key locations along the way and adding the purchase price of each property to their total, earning bonuses for completing sets.
Families are welcome to take part on Saturday 14 September as the activities and route are suitable for children aged 10 years and over.
Kate Billingham Wilson, Director of Fundraising and Communications at St Raphael’s Hospice says:
“This is an exciting new event to bring our community together on the streets of Merton, where you can make memories, build connections and support a great cause.
Groups can work together as a team to navigate around the “board!
Free specialist hospice care is vital for our community – fundraising events like this help us continue to be here for the people of Merton and Sutton when they need us most.”
Registration is £30 per adult or £15 per child or discounted rates are available for teams of four to six. The suggested minimum sponsorship per team is £350. Sign up by visiting straphaels.org.uk/property-dash

About St Raphael’s Hospice:
St Raphael’s Hospice is an independent charity providing free end of life care and support for adults living in Merton and Sutton, and their families, friends and carers.
The Hospice cares for around 1,000 patients every year on its ward and out in the community in patients’ homes. The majority of St Raphael’s patients are cared for at home where Hospice staff work alongside community healthcare professionals offering specialist support and advice.
St Raphael’s expert team is made up of doctors, nurses, and their associates, counsellors, therapists and a social worker. The Hospice also provides counselling and bereavement services and itsWellbeing Centre is open to everyone living in Merton and Sutton who is over 18 and closely affected by a progressive life-limiting illness.
The Hospice also has over 500 dedicated volunteers who donate their time in a wide range of roles, including on the ward, with the fundraising team or in one of St Raphael’s shops.
It costs over £6.5 million each year to run its services and only 25% of its funding comes from the NHS. The charity relies on the generous support of the community to provide its vital services free of charge.
