Following the success of the first ‘Art of Kent Auction’ in 2020, Heart of Kent Hospice is presenting their second auction between Friday 28 October and Sunday 30 October 2022.
This is an amazing opportunity to bid and purchase some wonderfully diverse works of art kindly donated by a range of fabulous amateur and professional Kent artists including Ralph Steadman, Guy Portelli, Katie Mullally and Robyn Neild – to name just a few.
Taking place online between Friday 28 October and Sunday 30 October 2022 ‘Art of Kent Auction’ will feature a diverse collection of arts, from textiles to paintings, from ceramics to sculpture, all available to bid on and purchase with all money raised going to Heart of Kent Hospice.
Chief Executive of Heart of Kent Hospice, Rachel Street said:
“We are enormously grateful to all of our new and returning artists that have donated fabulous pieces of art all contributing to a diverse auction collection. In 2020 this wonderful event raised over £20,000 for our Hospice and we’d love to exceed this target!”
It’s not too late for an artist to submit a piece of artwork and Karen Newton-Anker, the Community Partnerships Manager would love to hear from you if you are interested in getting involved with our event this year. If you would like to donate a piece of art or would like some further information, please contact Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01622 790195.
If you’re interested in securing a piece of Kentish art, simply register your interest in advance and you will receive an exclusive preview of all the auction lots on Thursday 27 October, before the auction goes live to the public the following evening. You’ll need to be over 18 years of age to register.

This event, and other fundraising events held throughout the year ensure Heart of Kent Hospice can continue to provide specialist care and support, free of charge, to terminally ill people and their loved ones in our local community.
About Heart of Kent Hospice
Heart of Kent Hospice has been providing free, compassionate, end-of-life care to people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding towns and villages for the past 31 years.
The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of its care, which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who awarded us with an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection in February 2017.
Our vision is for everyone living with a terminal illness in our community to achieve the best quality of life. We are committed to achieving this by enabling them to live in comfort, with independence and dignity to the end of their lives, and to support those closest to them.
Last year the Hospice cared for over 1,700 patients and their families in their own homes or at our Aylesford-based Hospice. Our services cost £5 million a year to run, and we depend heavily on our loyal community of supporters, whose generous donations and fundraising activities raise over £4 million.
