Renowned BBC broadcaster John Humphrys and leading journalist and former editor of The Erotic Review Rowan Pelling were among the star line-up of guests trying their hand at a spot of comedy at Funny Business.

The annual event, organised by the London Business Forum, helps to raise funds for Help the Hospices, the UK’s leading charity for hospice care, and took place at the Comedy Store in London earlier this week.

They were joined by leading figures including Michael Howard, the Chair of Help the Hospices, Brendan Barns, the founder of the London Business Forum and the event’s creator, and compere Marc Lewis.

The entertainment on offer included stand-up comedy, amusing anecdotes and improvisational sketches.

Since its first show in 2008, all proceeds from Funny Business have gone to support Help the Hospices.

Helen Olszowska, Head of Events at Help the Hospices, said:

“Funny Business brings together a diverse range of people from across the business sector and beyond for some light-hearted entertainment to support Help the Hospices. It has helped raise vital funds for our work to support hospices across the UK.

“We were delighted to have such a stellar line-up for this year’s event and very grateful for the ongoing support from the London Business Forum.”

Brendan Barns, founder of the London Business Forum, added:

“We are delighted to have welcomed such esteemed guests for another night of hilarity in support of Help the Hospices.”

Footage from the event will be added to the Help the Hospices website.
