The purpose of this invite-only Summit was to bring together key national organizations to discuss and define essential elements of quality primary and specialty palliative care services in the community.
Utilizing the National Consensus Project Clinical Practice Guidelines for Quality Palliative Care, 3rd edition (2013) as a framework, the Summit’s agenda focused on eliciting input from national stakeholder organizations to begin the work of creating the 4th edition of the NCP Guidelines that is scheduled for publication Fall 2018.
