NHF Virtual Gala to Support Hospice Community

You’re Invited to the NHF Virtual Gala

The 2020 National Hospice Foundation Gala, originally scheduled during the spring Leadership & Advocacy Conference, is now a virtual event being held on Thursday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Free and open to anyone, we do ask that attendees register online at nationalhospicefoundation.org/VirtualGala.

The program has several fun events lined up, including:

Special message from hospice ambassador and actress Torrey DeVitto from NBC’s “Chicago Med”
Salute to the hospice and community-based palliative care community through the Faces of Caring campaign
Performance by hospice physician and musician John Mulder and GRAMMY Award winning musician Tricia Walker, co-creators of the Hospice Music Project

And as with our in-person galas, there will be an auction with the following special items going up for bid:

Handmade hospice quilt featuring the new NHPCO logo’s lotus.
Virtual in-home concert with John Mulder and Tricia Walker of the Hospice Music Project, we share a link to the video to “Joy in a Teardrop” on YouTube, one of the first songs written as part of the Hospice Music Project and sung by John and Tricia.
Virtual consultation with NHPCO’s Jennifer Kennedy, Senior Director of Regulatory & Quality, on a quality or regulatory topic of your choice.

This auction for these three items will remain open until midnight ET on Friday, June 19 via the online auction site Greater Giving. Registration on the Greater Giving site is required to bid on these items. You do not need to attend the virtual gala in order to bid on the auction items.

Funds raised at the 2020 NHF Virtual Gala will be used to develop resources and tools for hospices to provide community bereavement support to anyone who has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and needs psychosocial support. Your support of this event will go right back to your teams and communities.
