Trustbridge (based in West Palm Beach, Florida), the leading non-profit hospice provider in Broward and Palm Beach counties, today announced the launch of a new medical distribution facility in Deerfield Beach that will dramatically expand and improve service for patients in Broward County and southern Palm Beach County. Known as the South Distribution Facility (SDF), located at 762B S. Military Trail, this 6,800 sq. ft. warehouse and office will allow Trustbridge to provide medical equipment even more quickly to new and existing patients within their southern service area. With easy access to I-95, Florida’s Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway, Trustbridge expects a drastic reduction in response times for patients in Broward County.

“This is a project that’s been in the planning stages for a while in response to the rapid growth of our patient base in Broward County,” said Trustbridge Vice-President of Support Services, Greg Sinclair. “Trustbridge is renowned for its unmatched high standards and the caring, compassionate staff. This expansion will make an immediate impact on patient care.”

Trustbridge’s South Distribution Facility serves as a satellite office to its larger distribution facility in Palm Beach County. The SDF provides patients with more than 50 medical items, including beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, oxygen equipment and more. The project included the addition of 12 new staffers and five new trucks they will use to make deliveries. Currently, Trustbridge serves more than 400 patients in Broward County.

“This has been a long-term desire for Trustbridge,” said David Fielding, Chief Executive Officer of Trustbridge. “Our team began working towards this goal years ago after asking ourselves how we can provide best in class service to our patients in Broward County.”

Formed in 2014 by the merger of the Hospice of Palm Beach County, Hospice by the Sea, and Hospice of Broward County, Trustbridge provides support for families facing serious illness 24-hours a day. Other services include palliative medicine, caregiver support and bereavement programs.
