World Hospice and Palliative Care Day launches resources toolkit

Categories: Community Engagement and Featured.

The Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance has launched the online Toolkit for the upcoming World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) on October 9 2021.

The Toolkit is a resource for palliative care organisations and individuals across the world to shine a light on palliative care. This year, the theme is ‘Leave No One Behind – equity in access to palliative care.”

Dr Stephen Connor, WHPCA Executive Director said: “This year we wish to shed light on the need for equity in access to palliative care. All over the world, people experience barriers to accessing palliative care and relief of serious health-related suffering, some groups more than others. On WHPCD we will lift up examples of programs and people that have overcome barriers to achieving Equity in Access to Palliative Care.”

The toolkit includes a media release template, an advocacy template, logos, social media content and how to tips for fundraising and filmmaking.

You can download your free Toolkit here and register your events for World Day here.
