As we usher in 2025, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your steadfast dedication to advancing hospice and palliative care across the Asia Pacific region. The achievements of the past year are a reflection of your commitment and shared vision.
Together, we have connected with 601 individual members and 89 organisational members across 19 sectors, forming a robust and united network.
In 2024, we celebrated numerous milestones:
- the successful completion of capacity-building programs in underserved regions,
- the expansion of psychosocial care training, and meaningful collaborations that have extended palliative care services to those who need them most.
- Our Lien collaborative efforts reached ten countries,
- while over 50 healthcare professionals received scholarships and bursaries to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- The Cynthia Goh Palliative Care Fellowship has also made significant strides in its second year of development.
These accomplishments are a testament to the collective spirit of compassion, professionalism, and excellence that defines APHN.
Our volunteers, together with the secretariat, are now actively supporting eight committees and special interest groups, each working tirelessly to advance APHN’s mission. Their dedicated efforts strengthen our capacity to serve, connect, and innovate, ensuring that we continue to address the diverse needs of our members and the communities we serve.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are inspired by the opportunity to deepen our impact.
Our goals include expanding access to palliative care education, fostering new and innovative partnerships, and strengthening our advocacy to ensure that dignity and care are at the heart of every life’s journey.
