Welcome to wellbeing bites, a series of videos designed for health professionals working in Paediatric Palliative Care. This series aims to support you – whatever your role in paediatric palliative care – to promote well-being and resilience. Planning and practising effective self-care can support your capacity to flourish and support others, both personally and professionally. This is especially relevant when faced with moral distress in the face of children’s pain and suffering, navigating and providing psychosocial support to highly distressed families, and challenging conversations with children, and young people living with life-limiting conditions. We worked with paediatric palliative care experts around Australia to learn from their experiences and insights. The wellbeing bites series focuses on the importance of talking about and understanding self-care, planning for self-care and practising self-care and provides guidance to use these practises.
