The National Strategy for Accessible Grief Support (NSAP) is a Canadian initiative focused on improving grief literacy and support across the country. It was developed in response to Health Canada’s request for a national strategy to address the growing need for grief support, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The BCCPC fully supports and endorses the recommendations outlined in the National Strategy for Accessible Grief Support (NSAP). We’re especially pleased to see the strong alignment between the NSAP and our own Collaborative Action Plan: for accessible, appropriate, and equitable grief and bereavement support in British Columbia. This alignment reinforces our shared messaging and strengthens collective efforts and collaboration at both the national and provincial levels.
