The CHPC NG has a voluntary executive board of 8-9 members who actively lead the work of the group towards achieving its mission of “defining and advancing the unique body of knowledge and the holistic approach used in hospice palliative care nursing; supporting hospice palliative care nursing research, education, practice and administration at a national level; promoting hospice palliative care networking opportunities to enhance communication and learning among Canadian nurses; influencing hospice palliative care public policy development at the provincial/territorial level and national level”.
As well the CHPC NG is an Associate Member of the Canadian Nurses Association, enabling members to contribute to the hospice palliative care nursing certification process and have a voice in broader matters that concern all Canadian nurses.
As a member of this group, you can contribute to this important work as well as enjoy the use of the group’s List serve to share ideas, interests, resources & questions relevant to clinical, administrative, research, and education settings.
The CHPC NG is administered through the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA). Members may register either 1) with their provincial hospice palliative care association OR 2) with CHPCA directly and pay an annual fee of $20.00 to become a CHPC NG member.
