EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) and the Health Charities Coalition of Canada (HCCC) are looking for a dynamic team member to offer full-time high level administrative support.  Key responsibilities include providing general administrative support to the Executive Director of HCCC and Project Manager for CHPCA – for the Advance Care Planning (ACP) in Canada Project.  The Executive Assistant is the first point of communication between the members of the Coalition, the Steering Committee of ACP in Canada, external partners and the public.  Tact, discretion, astuteness, attention to detail and strong problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills are required criteria for this position.

This shared position will work 22.5 hours per week for HCCC and 15 hours per week for CHPCA.

Experience, Education and Other Qualifications Required

This position requires a diploma in Office Administration.  A minimum of three years’ experience as an Executive Assistant is required.  Experience in the not-for-profit, voluntary sector is also an asset.

He or she will have excellent problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills.  Excellent written and oral communication in English is essential. Excellent oral and written communication in French is an asset.  The Executive Assistant must be able to work independently and proactively in a multi-task-oriented environment.  Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook) are essential.


Salary Range:
$40,000 – $50,000.
