The 33rd Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC)-2026 was organized by Sparsh Hospice- Centre for Palliative Care and Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute at the National Institute for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (NI-MSME), Hyderabad, from 13th to 15th February 2026 and pre-conference workshops were held on 12th February, 2026
My experience was incredibly memorable and enriching. An amazing community of professionals committed to promoting compassionate and holistic palliative care came together for the conference, which was organized by the Indian Association of Palliative Care. The entire event was carefully planned, demonstrating a strong dedication to patient-centered practice as well as academic brilliance.
The pre-conference sessions provided insightful information on communication, ethics, pain management, and multidisciplinary approaches to treatment. They were very interesting and useful.
My knowledge of new developments and evidence-based procedures in palliative medicine has expanded as a result of the main conference sessions, which included keynote addresses and scientific presentations. The value of continuity of care across hospital, hospice, and home settings was emphasized by hearing professionals share their expertise and experiences.
My sincere congratulations go out to Dr. Geeta Joshi, President of IAPC, for her inspiring leadership; Dr. SKV Raju, Organizing Secretary, for the careful preparation and smooth running of the conference; Dr. Praveen Kumar Kodisharapu, Joint Organizing Secretary and Dr. Praneeth Suvvari, Scientific Chair and other organizing team for his indispensable assistance in making the event a huge success. Every facet of the program reflected their commitment and collaboration.
Beyond the scholarly depth, Hyderabad’s friendliness and warmth contributed to the conference’s allure.
My dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality palliative care has been reinforced by IAPCON-2026, which has also inspired me to keep studying, working with others, and making contributions to this admirable sector.
