Pictures to Moments – Together for palliative care!

Categories: Community Engagement and People & Places.

The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) chose to celebrate this year’s World Photography Day with a special initiative known as ‘Pictures to Moments – Together for palliative care‘.

Through this initiative, the IAPC recognises and acknowledges the power of Photography for communication, expression, documentation, and its role in shaping the way the world is perceived. By leveraging this powerful tool, we hope to serve us all in palliative care, a reminder of the importance of capturing, preserving and sharing of pictures to create precious moments.

By presenting this collection of photographs which align with the initiative’s theme, ‘Together for Palliative Care’ (in observance of this year’s World Hospice and Palliative Care Day), we aim to provide insights into the experiences and perceptions of our contributors who through their photographs have frozen time to capture the essence of life, beauty and emotions.

We invite you to step into a world of visual wonder and enjoy the soulful and evocative photographs, each of which is a testament to the power of storytelling through imagery!

Don’t forget to also be a part of the excitement by casting your vote for your favourite photograph for the ‘People’s Choice Award’, before Sunday, 31st December, 2023.

  • Your voice will help us celebrate the contributors of the top three photographs receiving the maximum votes.
  • Each of the top three contributors will receive a certificate of appreciation and also have their photograph displayed during IAPCON 2024.(The selected contributor’s will each need to register and plan their travel independently to attend IAPCON 2024)
  • In the event that both photos by a single contributor make their way in the top 3 category, then the photograph receiving the highest vote by that contributor will only be considered.
