At the beginning of March, the International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) Board Chair Paul Quilliam stepped down from his role as Chair and Board member of ICPCN. Professor Julia Downing, ICPCN Chief Executive said “Paul took over as Chair in May 2019 at the ICPCN Board meeting in Berlin, and has served as a Board member since 2016. Paul joined the Board as an experienced NFP (Not for Profit) director and senior executive. He was the co-founder of Hummingbird House in Queensland, Australia, and is currently the Tasmanian State Manager for yourtown and Kids Helpline. He recently received an international entrepreneurship award from the global Association of MBAs in the non-profit category.
“Paul took over as Chair from Ms Sabine Kraft and on his appointment as Chair he commented that it was a privilege and honour to become the Chair of the Board. He was looking forward to playing his part in stewarding the mission and vision of ICPCN for the benefit of children around the world impacted by life limiting conditions. During his time as Chair Paul has steered ICPCN through this challenging time of COVID-19 and has worked alongside the Vice Chair (now acting Chair) Lyn Gould MBE and the Treasurer Mike Palfreman and the rest of the Board Team.
“We are grateful to Paul for all he has given to ICPCN as both a Board member and for his leadership over the past few years as the Chair. We wish him well for the future.”
