Palliative Care Scholarships and Small Grants

Categories: Education and Featured.

We are pleased to share the following palliative care funding and scholarship opportunities:

The True Colours Trust Small Grant Programme Round 23
The True Colours Trust’s Small Grants Programme supports palliative care providers across Africa. Grants are awarded to projects which directly improve the lives of patients with palliative care needs. Most grants are awarded to small, locally-based organisations which are improving the standard of palliative care in their communities. We are aware of the changing and challenging environment that palliative care organisations and service providers are operating in due to Covid-19 and have modified the priority areas of this grant round to include prevention of and protection against Covid-19. To access the guidelines document for information on the new areas which will be considered within funding applications for this round and to apply for the small grant, please visit our website www.africanpalliativecare.org or write to truecolourssmallgrants@africanpalliativecare.org

The Palliative Care Education Scholarship Fund for Nurses and Social Workers
The African Palliative Care Association (APCA) in partnership with Global Partners in Care (GPIC) in the USA provide a limited number of competitive scholarships each year to nurses and social workers for palliative care training opportunities. APCA and GPIC recognise the important role nurses and social workers play in providing holistic palliative care services. The Palliative Care Education Scholarship Fund for Nurses and Social Workers aims to provide an opportunity for nurses and social workers involved in palliative care provision or those determined to lead the development of such services in their settings to undergo specialist training.
