Palliative without borders, a Spanish health NGO that works to promote palliative care and pain relief education of professionals since 2009, especially in low and middle-income countries, has organized the sixth annual Course on Palliative Medicine in children and adolescents in Spanish. It contains 240 educational units accredited by the European Community that are divided into three parts:
- Basis of pediatric palliative care and symptom management with 91 teaching units, covers the essential principles of palliative care, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions at these ages, symptom management, and various therapeutic alternatives. This began on 15th March and it will run until 1st June 2023. The first course is still open for those who would like to join.
- Palliative care in cancer and other pediatric pathologies, neonatology, clinical, palliative, and pedagogical management. This will start from 15th June to September 10th, 2023.
- Relief of suffering, bioethics, and psychosocial aspects in pediatric supportive care. This will start from 25th September to November 10th, 2023.

The three courses offer a comprehensive view of curren palliative possibilities in both oncología and non oncología pathologies. The program will be based on a 100 % online methodology. In each course the theoretical part is combined with clinical cases, complementary bibliography , selected videos, and forums with tutors to provide attendees the knowledge needed to improve the quality of life and relief of suffering of children and their families .
