The Scottish premiere screening of the film Hippocratic: 18 Experiments in Gently Shaking the World will be hosted by EMMS International at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on Monday 8 October at 18:00.

Narrated by David Suchet, CBE, this film is the story of Dr M R Rajagopal, an extraordinary global health leader, who is described by the New York Times as “the father of palliative care in India”. This is a must-see documentary for all those interested in the power of the human spirit, human rights, dignified healthcare and social justice. It is essential viewing for anyone working in health care, medicine, nursing and public health.

Dr Raj will be guest of honour at the screening and will reflect on the film after the screening. He was hugely supportive in helping establish one of EMMS International’s palliative care programmes in India.
The evening starts with a drinks reception in the Library, followed by the film and a short panel discussion in the Great Hall at the RCPE.
