The Third Fellowship Program in Palliative Care is accepting applications now.
Seventy-nine candidates from 20 countries have already successfully completed this program.
Fellowship in Palliative Care is an advanced course run jointly by WHO Collaborating Centre IND 135, Institute of Palliative Medicine, Calicut, India, and St Christopher’s Hospice, London, United Kingdom, in collaboration with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Sanjeevan Palliative Care Project, Pondicherry, India.
This is one of the very few training programs focussing on building organizational skills in Palliative Care.
The online course is designed as a distance education program based on principles of adult learning. The course will cover foundations, concepts, skills in organising and managing palliative care services and application of these in local situations faced by the participant. The medium of interaction will be English. Duration of the course will be sixty hours spread over a period of six months. Online sessions will start on 1 February 2021.
Clinical staff or program managers/ coordinators or community volunteers are eligible to apply. This training program will be particularly useful for trainers and program managers in palliative care.
