The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) is a not-for profit membership organisation founded in 1988 which aims to promote the development of palliative care in Europe.

We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will provide comprehensive and high level administrative and financial support for the European Association for Palliative Care.

The Head Office is currently located in Milan, Italy (the physical location of the CEO post is negotiable). The Head Office provides administrative support for all aspects of the EAPC’s work across Europe and beyond. We are committed to providing the highest level of support to our members and supporters and are looking for an individual who shares our vision.

Working in a lively and challenging environment, a high level of oral and written communication skills are required in English as well as excellent organisational skills. The ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload, to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines, and to work successfully as part of a team are also essential to the role. Relevant administrative experience in similar organisations, preferably with experience of the financial processes is desirable.

The Chief Executive Officer work closely with EAPC’s President, Treasurer, Executive Group and with members of the Board of Directors. The Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the President, who will provide guidance and monitoring from through email, Skype, and regular visits.
