‘Watch with Me: Inspiration for a life in hospice care’ can be download from Professor David Clark’s blog: End of Life Studies, on the University of Glasgow website. Professor Clark helped compile and published the the collection in 2003, two years before Dame Cicely’s death.
The collection contains five articles, written and delivered over a 40-year period, and is described as “essential reading for anyone interested in Cicely Saunders, the modern hospice movement and the development of palliative care.”
Writing about the book recently on his blog, Professor Clark explains: “Running through each of the five chapters of Watch with Me is the relationship between personal biography, the emergence of the spiritual life and a deep concern with the ethics of care.”
