The workshop explored different models for identifying, analysing and solving conflicts between patients, their families and the professionals caring for them. It was held last year in Vienna, and attended by 16 leaders in hospice and palliative care from Eastern and Central Europe.
As reported on the EAPC blog, the workshop looked at
- analysing the ‘layers’ of conflicts
- expectations from the different stakeholders
- how to move towards resolution.
One participant said: “This workshop was a true relief for me, realising that not all conflicts can be resolved. We could see things from a different perspective. Exchanging experiences was truly a gift.”
