The 13th EAPC congress took place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 30 May to 2 June 2013.

Congress sessions covered topics such as spiritual care in palliative care, legal aspects of palliative care, volunteering and many more.

The EAPC early researcher award went to Meera Agar for her work on delirium at the end of life and Professor Derek Doyle was awarded the EAPC Award 2013 for his engagement and support in the development of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC onlus) since its foundation in 1988, and for his work in developing and implementing  palliative care internationally in Europe and beyond.

The Czech Minister of Health attended the opening ceremony to accept the signed Prague charter calling for access to palliative care as a human right.

People who were unable to attend the congress, or those who would like to refresh their memory can view the ‘Prague report pages,’ including pdfs of many of the congress presentations.

The materials can be accessed online by EAPC members through the EAPC website.
