Previously, NCI has had contributions from an enthusiastic nurse offering pain management for inpatients and running a wound dressing clinic on a voluntary basis.
Several doctors, nurses, pharmacists and one psychologist have received training in palliative care in Sudan’s capital city, Khartoum, on different occasions. However, this is the first official palliative care service to be offered in Madani.
