IAHPC Comprehensive Course in Pain Assessment and Management

The IAHPC is pleased to announce the launch of its Comprehensive Course in Pain Assessment and Management for its members.

The course, taught by IAHPC Board Chair Professor Lukas Radbruch (MD), and Doctor Ebtesam (Sammi) Ahmed, PharmD (an IAHPC board member) is designed for physicians, nurses and pharmacists.

The course will address basic principles associated with pain pathogenesis and assessment, effective pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options, and appropriate therapeutic regimens. It will provide students with advanced knowledge about how to manage pain associated with specific disease states most often encountered in palliative care and hospice settings, and will address strategies to prevent diversion and non-medical use.

This course will consist of 10 modules, starting June 21 through July 21 using Zoom platform. Each module will be presented live and recorded to be viewed on-demand. Registration will be required for each module. Information about the course, all the modules and dates can be found on the IAHPC website
