NHPCO’s 14th Clinical Team Conference and Pediatric Intensive

This annual conference is taking place from 26 to 28 September 2013, with pre conference seminars taking place on 24 and 25 September.

The pre conference pediatric palliative care training days are part of NHPCO’s Pediatric Intensive, which aims to provides pediatric palliative care education designed to enhance provider and professional capacity and to improve competence in exceeding standards for the provision of quality care for seriously ill children and their families.

The conference offers extensive and intensive basic (for the novice), intermediate (for the proficient) and advanced (for the expert) educational sessions that will address a wide variety of topics.

‘Innovation and Excellence’ is the conference theme, underscoring a drive for the hospice palliative care field to innovate and pursue excellence in all endeavors. The conference will explore the care continuum and interdisciplinary, medical, clinical, psychosocial, spiritual, bereavement and team innovation and excellence – in all their myriad facets, ideas, forms and outcomes.

The annual conference is hosted by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization of the USA, in cooperation with Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association. Further information on the programme and how to book is available on NHPCO’s website.
