Fast Facts and Concepts are concise, practical, peer-reviewed and evidence-based summaries on key topics important to clinicians and trainees caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
The collection of articles began in 2000 as a teaching tool at the University of Cincinnati and has continued to be published and supported by the End of Life/Palliative Education Resource Center (EPERC) at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
New articles are published approximately twice a month by EPERC, and are cross-published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine, at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Website, and elsewhere.
Fast Facts are a free educational resource and can be reprinted, with proper attribution, for non-commercial educational purposes.
The new Palliative Care Fast Facts app, which is free to download, includes every Fast Fact article in a format that is easy to read and search and can be used even if there is not an internet connection.
Through the app you can search and browse the Fast Facts database by chronology or by subject and share individual articles with others via email. Text size, background and font colour can all be adjusted to make reading easier.
