Kimbilio Marathon organized by Kimbilio Hospice was one of the events that won this year’s small grant competition in support of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day activities

Worldwide Palliative Care Alliance (WPCA) will give a grant of $500 to the hospice to support the marathon that the hospice held in 13th October 2013 in which 144 athletes participated.

The Hospice was also blessed and inspired to have a runner from USA to participate in the marathon who upon finishing was joyfully received by the Living Room staff with singing and dancing.

Receiving the good news, Allison Tarus, Program Development Liaison Officer at Living Room International appreciated the support.

“We are grateful for the support from WPCA and we look forward to partnering together again in the future.” Said Tarus.

Mr. Tarus added that there is so much work left to be done for Living Room to help reduce the pain and suffering of adults and children living with life-threatening illnesses.
