It was all smiles at Nairobi Hospice as patients celebrated this year Christmas party with their families, carers, visitors, and the Nairobi Hospice staff.
The event held annually on the first Thursday of December saw patients stream to the venue of the event from as early as 9am.
Several visitors spared their time to be with the patients, encouraging them and wishing them a merry Christmas.
Nairobi Hospice Chief Executive Officer Dr Brigid Sirengo welcomed the patients and wished them good health, congratulating the carers for the good work they are doing to ensure the patients have a good life.
This year’s event was held at the hospice premises where meals were prepared and shared among patients, carers and the staff.
Christmas carols from Twakutukuza Trust group entertained the patients, their carers and the visitors who attended the event.
Several Christmas gifts and donations from more than ten companies were given to the patients and their carers to ensure their festive season started on a positive note.
In her closing remarks, Dr Sirengo thanked all the companies, groups and individuals who made the event a success.
She appreciated all volunteers who took their time to prepare and serve the food and ensure that the event run as planned.
