Local charity goes international

She works as a branch manager at Absa but Ana didn’t let her job chain her to her desk. Having a heart for those less fortunate, this mother of two decided to run a cup-a-thon to raise funds for CANSA and Hospice. These are two organisations which have grown dear to her heart.

“I didn’t know who to donate the money to and then I read an article in the People’s Post,” Ana said.

This was a turning point for her as she made contact with Eric Watlington who is the advocacy officer of the Hospice Palliative Care Association (HPCA). “We invited him to our second cup-a-thon. Our first donation to St Luke’s Hospice was R4700,” she said.
