Community fundraising officer (South)

We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity, our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are around £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.

Working as part of the fundraising team you will be responsible for generating substantial income for St Ann’s Hospice by developing and maximising relationships with the local community in South Manchester, by working with individuals and volunteer fundraising groups, groups and associations, schools and high street corporates.

You will be responsible for promoting and supporting fundraising initiatives, activities and events across this broad spectrum of supporters. You will have a proven community fundraising track record with a sound understanding of community giving, supporter engagement, volunteer recruitment and management, and achieving defined financial targets. You will need to be a confident public speaker with excellent interpersonal skills. 

Salary: £19,112 to £27,128 pa

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
