Duncan Burton, Chief Nursing Officer for England, appointed as a Trustee of Princess Alice Hospice

As Chief Nursing Officer for England, Duncan is responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership for all nurses, midwives and nursing associates across health and social care in England. He has been a nurse for over 25 years, undertaking a wide variety of senior leadership roles within the NHS.

Duncan has supported us as a voluntary committee advisor for some time and has provided personal and professional insights that have been extremely valuable.

Duncan Burton, Chief Nursing Office for England, said: “I am delighted to be appointed as a Trustee at Princess Alice Hospice. As a committee advisor, I have already seen the enormous difference that nursing and other colleagues make to patients and their loved ones. The expert, compassionate care they provide at the hospice and in people’s homes is vital.
