This framework provides a basis to support and improve the quality of practice for end of life care facilitators.
The form is broken down into a number of sections, including:
- the competences: communication, facilitation, audit, learning and development
- a learning and development plan
- reflection tools.
The framework will help guide development as well as capture evidence that will support the development of Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) profiles and registration with professional bodies. The competency framework is based on nationally recognised frameworks, best practice guidelines and local frameworks.
The form has been published by the National End of Life Care Programme, and can be downloaded from their website.
