Launched in April last year, the profiles give an overview of the places and causes of deaths for each CCG in England.
They are designed to give commissioners and providers of end of life care a clear picture of the needs of their local populations and support their efforts to offer the best possible care.
The profiles have now been updated with Office for National Statistics mortality data from 2011 to 2013. There are 170 “indicators” presented in four separate tools, which cover the variety of places that people died and the causes of death.
The data can be viewed as both an interactive map as well as a more detailed chart. Both enable comparisons between CCGs, and comparisons between a specific CCG and national minimums, maximums and average values for England.
