Help the Hospices was founded in 1984 and is the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK.
Our work aims to represent and support our member hospices and work with them and other organisations to develop and improve hospice and palliative care throughout the UK and across the world.
Working with key corporate partners and third party event organisers, this role is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a varied portfolio of challenge and corporate events. The successful applicant will manage Help the Hospices charity places in the popular Olympic legacy cycling event, RideLondon-Surrey 100, as well as bespoke corporate events, which for 2013 include a Moroccan Three Peaks Challenge with Trader Media and a Coast to Coast Bike Ride with Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience of event management within a commercial or charity setting as well as a working knowledge of the objectives of corporate and charity partnerships. You will have overseen the full event delivery process from planning to promotion, customer service, logistics and evaluation. An excellent communicator and adept at building excellent working relationships, you will skilfully organise and prioritise tasks across your portfolio of events to ensure that you meet the expectations of event partners and participants.
