We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior social worker, ready to work in a service manager role, to lead our Family Support Team.

As a talented and self-motivated social work professional, with a background of working within a child-focused environment, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated staff and volunteers across Scotland. Our family support service encompasses social work, chaplaincy, transition, specialist play, bereavement and volunteers. These teams provide comprehensive and holistic support to babies, children, young people and their families from the point of referral through to bereavement.

Working closely with our dynamic management team, you’ll ensure the level of care offered by CHAS is safe, effective, person-centered and promotes well-being, in line with Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC). As part of this, you’ll support the developing children’s palliative care initiatives and related national healthcare agendas.

You’ll be able to lead on child protection measures and also be knowledgeable about transition issues and adult support and protection. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, planning and organisational skills. Being able to lead, engage and motivate a team is essential, as is an ability to identify with the CHAS core values, vision and purpose.

All appointments are subject to PVG Scheme Membership
