37½ or 30 hours per week

Salary: Rennie Grove Band 6

Rennie Grove’s mission is to offer excellent palliative and end-of-live care based around patients and their families both day and night.  The Family Support Services Team supports the families of our patients from diagnosis, through illness and post-bereavement with a range of services including one-to-one bereavement support, counselling and social support groups.

We are seeking a Family Support Services Coordinator to assist with maintaining and developing the Rennie Grove family support service and strategy.  You will coordinate and be responsible for the running of bereavement support and carer support groups and be involved in the selection and training of team volunteers.  You will also be involved in providing group supervision and support to Rennie Grove nursing staff.  A degree or diploma and formal counselling qualification are essential and a nursing background is desirable.

Benefits include 27 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays per annum (pro rata) and options to sustain your NHS pension.  A car and current UK driving licence are essential and the position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
